Participation Get involved with SSYF express what's important to you...

Youth Participation initiatives aim to develop pieces of work with young people which will encourage their voice within their community through both direct involvement with existing SSYF projects (Reach, Unzziped, Youth Council, Youth Council Website) and the development of projects they feel will add to the vibrancy of community.

These projects will also be a vehicle with which to enable South Shropshire District Council to meet it’s ‘Hear By Right’ obligations encouraging young people to be involved in the way in which the District Council organises and develops it’s operations.

Through the participation project work young people will develop a sense of belonging and community ownership, local community will be strengthened through the involvement of the young people.  Importantly young people will have the opportunity to be involved in projects which have a truly developmental agenda, along the way gain skills in communication, confidence, meet new people and have fun.
