SSPIN Peer Information Network Project

The Peer Information Network Project (SSPIN) will be open to young people who wish to become 'positive' role models within their community. On request we have run small pilot schemes whereby young people have become actively involved within their communities and we wish to expand on this by being able to offer a structured programme that offers the chance to develop a sense of citizenship. We will do this by offering incentives i.e. exciting teamwork activities, qualifications and structured support for participants.

oung people will actively get involved by helping to deliver workshops within schools, youth groups and other settings on a range of issues. Content will include issues around personal safety, self harm, managing anger, drug & alcohol use. The volunteers will also offer support via development of our current text platform and information and advice website which other young people can access.
